With too much uncertainty and instabilities surrounding the 2020-2021 school year, it is detrimental to force Texas students to take the STAAR assessment and to expect Texas teachers to teach both in-person and distance learning classes  (with new and unclear safety guidelines to enforce) as well as administer the assessment. This petition is calling for Governor Abbott to suspend the 2020-2021 STAAR assessment.
