Animals are abused and neglected everyday. We do not do enough to prevent this. The penalties in place do not send a strong enough message.  Everyday I read the sad stories. A dog hung, starved, abandoned, left to die, and one I just read , burned. This must STOP. I see animals abandoned everyday in my neighborhood, deserted like nothing. This animals have emotions just like we do. I have two dogs of my own whom I love as much as my two children. They are part of the family. It breaks my heart to see the fear, sadness, and how hungry these strays are. People do not fear the consequence of leaving these living beings to die. If it was them , I guarantee they would be whining for justice. Unlike humans, these animals are at the mercy of their owners action. From what I see, it is these humans that are the animals. They need our help, hopefully enough will share my belief. Enough is enough!
