Help Save Greenwood Lake Swans From Being Killed

The Issue

URGENT -  PLEASE SAVE MUTE SWANS FROM BEING KILLED ON  GREENWOOD LAKE

Jet-Skiers have been harrassing and assaulting a mute swan family on our lake all season.  The father swan is now chasing after jet skis to protect his family.  A couple of jet skiers have complained to the Greenwood Lake Commission who has called USDA Wildlife Services to assess and deal with the swan(s).

The USDAWS as well as state wildlife agencies have been killing mute swans because they are not a protected bird and considered non-native.  It is likely that the family of swans as well as other mute swans on our lake could be killed if deemed aggressive.  Our swans should not have to die because they have been abused by humans.

Please sign our petition to ask that The Greenwood Lake Commission stand down the USDA and work with the community to protect our wildlife from abusive jet skiers.
