In March 2015, after student government advocating and extensive talks, Chicken Joe’s and the GPS’s Food Services Department came strikingly close to bringing Chicken Joe’s to the Cardinal Cafe.  However, after reviewing Chicken Joe’s owner’s proposal with “several” administrators in the Greenwich Public School District, Food Services decided that offering Chicken Joe’s is “not in the best interest of the high school food operation.”

Currently, the only third party restaurant which serves food in the Cardinal Cafe is Domino’s Pizza.  According to a GHS Student Government Survey of 881 students last year, only 14 percent of Cardinals approve of the pizza served in the Cardinal Cafe.
