We just need signatures! 

On April 28, 2021 Governor Henry McMaster had a press conference and addressed SC by saying  Mask mandates in schools are “ridiculous,” South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster said this week as he urged school districts to drop their masking policies.

“It is the height of ridiculosity for a school district to make that decision for the parents,” McMaster said. “Now that we’ve had so many people that have developed immunity, I think is ridiculous for a school district to be requiring children to wear the masks unless the parents of those children want them to wear masks.”

Despite McMaster’s directive, state health officials and school leaders remained firm in their policies Friday. The state's Department of Education still has a mask mandate which reads in part:
“Students and staff in South Carolina public schools must wear a face covering upon entering a school building, moving through hallways, during carpool/bus drop off or pickup, and when social distancing is not possible or optimal. Student face coverings may be removed upon teacher or administrator direction while in the classroom or during special activities outside the classroom.”

Since, no school BOE wants to follow McMaster’s orders then we the people will have to help make this happen. Mask in schools should be optional by Parent’s Choice!  We must help be a voice for the voiceless which is causing not only Psychological effects on our children but also possible physical health issues now and down the road  Wearing mask all day inside the classroom and outside is not healthy for our children.  Every child is different and not all kids can wear them. It should in fact be the parent's choice.   We need equal rights all around.
