Protest Gladys B’s plans to bulldoze 52 HECTARES of koala habitat in Port Stephens!

0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,500!

Gladys Berijiklian has been a problematic politician for quite some time, allowing logging to go ahead in NSW destroying koala habitats in the process, not stepping up when the fires were raging, and now shes set to expand a quarry in Brandy Hill which will see 52 HECTARES of koala habitat destroyed..

Since the 2019/2020 fires ravaged multiple Australian states our koala population has been at an all time low with experts advising that they are vulnerable to extinction, just a step up from being critically endangered.

it was estimated before the summer of 2019 that 20,000 koalas were in NSW, 8,000 of those are in northern NSW alone. During the NSW fires, over 2,000 koalas were lost, an estimated 1 billion animals were lost all over the country. On March 9th, 2020, experts said that over 18.6 million hectares of Australian land were burned between June 2019 and March 2020.

I cannot stress enough how important it is that we look after our environment and our ecosystem at this point in time, we need to look after our animals and the earths inhabitants because they were here long before us and should be here long after us.. Please help protest this insane expansion and call for better environmental protection laws in Australia.
