Why this petition matters

Started by Evelyne Dunlop

This concerns us all. Annual dolphin hunts are currently taking place in Taiji, Japan. Dolphins and small whales are driven into a cove where they are either slaughtered or selected alive for sale to marine parks, zoos and aquariums. Dolphins are so graphically slaughtered that curtains are pulled across the shoreline to hide the killings from the public. We cannot allow this level of cruelty is allowed in the 2019. It needs to end.

Environmentalists say that this dolphin hunting is really cruel and the dolphins can take up to 30 minutes to die by suffocation or by drowning. The BBC reported on September 2nd, 2019 that the dolphin hunt has started again and will go on for 6 months. Please help shape the future and stop this cruel hunting of dolphins.

According to environmentalist group 'The Dolphin Project', five Risso's dolphins were killed on Monday. The overall quota for the season allows for more than 1,700 animals to be killed or captured.

Please spend a few moments to sign and share this petition to help shape the future of these gentle intelligent mammals and help stop this barbaric dolphin hunting now!

We need to respect our world and the animals we share our world with more. This is  not just for us now, but future generations. What we do to protect animals and the environment will effect them and the world we leave behind. Please help stop dolphin hunting. Thank you so much in advance. They need your support!!
