the Arctic refuge is an area situated on the east side of Alaska. the Arctic is warming 2 times faster than the rest of the world, 200 species of bird from 50 states and 6 continents migrate to this spot each year, it was sacred long before the earth gave it its name, the gwich’in people and the inupiat people depend on it for thier way of life. Not only is it home to more wildlife than countable, its sacred and the land is important to the people who live there. 95 percent of the north coast of Alaska is open to drilling and and now the last 5 precious percent is at risk. Drilling causes a huge amount of damage to the environment and the animals that live here.  There is still time to stop it being sold.
