� We presented information at the school board meeting tonight about a free training course presented by the NRA. This program engages communities, schools, police and safety officials to make schools more secure. There is also a branch of this program called “Eddie the Eagle” that we are hoping can be implemented as well.

� As the DOE recommendations just came out Friday, the board and team will obviously need some time to review it and decide new safety measures. We look forward to their new plan and still hope metal detectors are absolutely a part of that!! 

�Lastly, the board and Dr. Olin APPROVED our request to hold an open forum/ discussion with local parents and members of our community!! They answered YES almost immediately. We are so happy to hear this! They are looking over dates and we will keep you all posted as to when this will be! 

Things are moving in the right direction and it feels good to all work together and we can all agree-we want the same thing. ��
