The 1969 Minnesota Vikings deserved to be the final owners of the traveling Ed Thorp trophy. Since 1934, it was passed to the team that won the NFL Championship. Up until 2015, many thought the Vikings lost it and were cursed. Green Bay was nice enough to find it, so lets bring it home to the team that won it.

Green Bay may have won the most times, but the Vikings were supposed to end up with this trophy after winning the last NFL Championship in 1969, before the NFL merged with the AFL. The Packers didn't give it to the Colts in 68, as their 67 win is the last one engraved.

As long as Green Bay has it on display, the curse should be on the Packers for hiding the trophy all those years... not on the Vikings, as many said, for supposedly losing a trophy they didn't receive.
