There is another update in today's Herald newspaper regarding the renaming of the hospital after the Queen (http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/13639607.No_records_of_hospital_rebrand_meeting/).
The Herald's Health Correspondent Helen Puttick was told there are no minutes from the meeting where the Health Execs decided to name the hospital after the Queen.
This is rather strange as there are minutes from the meeting when they originally changed the name to South Glasgow University Hospital. It appears as though the Health Board are not willing to even give the identities of the small group people who attended this meeting. This makes us wonder; did such a meeting even take place?
I am still waiting on a reply to the email I sent to the First Minister, Health Secretary Shona Robison, and Glasgow MSP Humza Yousaf asking if the Scottish Government sanctioned the name change and if they are willing to support the people and intervene to either revert back to the original name or allow the people to choose a more worthy person to be honoured.
It is safe to say there is something very odd about this whole saga which has led to more questions than answers. What is more interesting is there have been no public comments from the Scottish Government about it either.
The plot thickens...
