I have a disappointing update. The Health Secretary has finally responded to my email I sent back in August. She has replied with a disappointing response:
"Dear Mr Beattie,
Thank you for your email of 7 August 2015, addressed to the First Minister, Minister for Europe and International Development and myself regarding your petition in relation to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow.
The request for the name change was submitted by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Board Chairman to the Scottish Government Protocol and Honours Team and as is the procedure with requests of this nature, forwarded by the team to the Palace. Her Majesty then approved the request. As Cabinet Secretary for Heath, Wellbeing and Sport I did not have a role in the process.
I attach a hyperlink to information on NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde website, which explains the process in more detail.

The Scottish Government is not in a position to intervene with a Royal Name, already approved by Her Majesty.
Yours sincerely,

SHONA ROBISON"
I'm sure many of you will be wondering exactly what "The Scottish Government is not in a position to intervene with a Royal Name, already approved by Her Majesty." means.
I have re-written to Ms Robison asking her to clarify that statement and address the 5 key questions I had previously asked that she failed to address.
