Stop the poaching of lions.

Stop the poaching of lions.
The Issue
Every year over 600 lions are killed and poached for sport. There is illegal activity in all parts of Africa and legal activity in America and South Africa. Americans are killing lions for sport and it's allowed! In South Africa poachers are cutting of the heads, teeth, and paws of lions and trading them. "'It happened really fast in Mozambique, and it could happen really fast in the rest of Africa,' he says. Lion poaching has already been reported from Zimbabwe, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda. 'You could end up with the only place left with wild lions in Africa being Kruger national park,' a well-protected refuge across the border in South Africa, he says." This needs to end.
"Time is against the Limpopo lions. Their numbers have crashed from 66 to 21 in only five years, according to survey data soon to be published by Everatt. Based on the prey available, the area should support up to 200 lions."
In America:
"An international treaty prohibits the buying and selling of products made from any of the big cat species, save one: the African lion. If the animals have been bred in captivity in South Africa, then their skeletons, including claws and teeth, may be traded around the world." We need to prohibit the killing of lions!
There are only 25,000 lions left in the wild and if this doesn't stop, lions will be extinct by 2050.
