As a Bridgeport resident we'de like to thank Fairfield University and the Diocese of Bridgeport for starting the Bellarmine College. This partnership would greatly benefit Bridgeport youth by giving its students a Fairfield University level education, with mentorship and participation at Fairfield University events, at an affordable price ($1000,00 a year). We also believe the site at Jewett Ave is more than capable of holding the 200 expected students without negatively impacting the neighborhood. By signing this petition, we are agreeing that the commitments Fairfield University and Bellarmine College are making to the students of Bridgeport are something we wholeheartedly support.
