Hi My name is Madeline Carrico. I am an eighth grader at Grassland Middle School and this is a petition to let us sit where we want during lunch. If this petition can change the mind of our principal we would be able to sit where we want at lunch. This is important because it would help include more people because right now we can’t sit with our friends so people are being excluded from groups. The reason for this rule is because of Covid-19, but currently we are not required to wear masks and not required to get vaccinated and we are not socially distancing in classes. Why are mask a choice but free seating is not? Therefore think that we should be able to sit where we want because we are not taking other Covid-19 precautions so, why is this the only one being acted upon. I hope you will consider signing this petition. We hope to take it to Dr Drinkwine soon.
