Petition updateStop Inviting The Belvoir Hunt To Grantham!Mayor Refuses To Stand Against The Belvoir Hunt...
Grantham Against Blood SportsUnited Kingdom
Jul 20, 2018
In recent months, we've been meeting with (now former) Mayor Mike Cook and his replacement for 2018/19, Councillor Lynda Coutts, to put forward the case that the Belvoir shouldn't be allowed in Grantham, especially following the succession of convictions handed to their employees & associates this year for grievious bodily harm, actual bodily harm, theft, criminal damage & offences under the Animal Welfare Act 2006. However, despite these being pointed out clearly, Mayor Coutts expressed more concern about a repeat of a last year's perfectly peaceful Boxing Day protest and has subsequently failed to do anything about her ceremonial invite to convicted criminals. We will of course be protesting on Boxing Day 2018 (bit.ly/2mvtUOl), but in the mean time we hope you can all politely write to Mayor Coutts at l.coutts@southkesteven.gov.uk. If you're able to, request a meeting to express your opposition to bloodsports. Please forward any responses to us on Facebook - thanks in advance!
