Zachary Basketball has been one of the pillar programs in the state of Louisiana for the past few years. ZHS Boys Basketball was victim of a blanket rule that was not assessed according to its specific evidence following the events that transpired on February 15th during a district game against another 5A team. Media and social media created a narrative that was untrue. As a result, the commissioner ended ZHS Boys Basketball season. We must take immediate action urging the LHSAA commissioner to grant ZHS Boys Basketball the right to an appeal of the decision to omit them from the 2022-2023 playoffs.
