Many Songkick users want to be able to download their gig history, or 'gigography'.  The reasons range from wanting a backup of some of their fondest memories to wanting able to play around with the data offline.

Between 2011 and 2021, the Songkick Export2Excel app provided this functionality.  It proved very popular - indeed, Songkick themselves thought it was a cool use of their Application Protocol Interface (API).

In 2022 - unexpectedly and without justification - Songkick cancelled the functionality of dozens of existing apps built by concert-going fans for the benefit of other concert-going fans. They now want to charge $500 / month or more for new apps built for "student projects, educational purposes or hobbyist purposes".

The Songkick Export2Excel has therefore been out of service since that time, with no sign of Songkick restoring access to their database.

We therefore call upon Songkick to grant a developer API key for the Songkick Export2Excel app, so that its community can continue to benefit from its functionality.
