Grant TCA a second chance in the SSPSL due to refereeing and basketball leagues
The Issue
Listen to me. Does this make any sense to you. Our team won a game by around 21 points. So instead of doing the right thing and putting us at 3rd place, our league puts us as 6th place. This may not make sense to you but we beat those two teams in front of us. We also had games which should’ve been played canceled.
That game that we won by 21 points was considered a tie. A damn tie, does this make sense to you. Do you guys realize who is being impacted. 8th graders who will never be able to play their sport in middle school again, because of these terrible calls.
What is at stake? We lose a game that got rescheduled to their home court instead of being at a neutral zone court. Our game was scheduled to be played at Saint John School in Canton, MA. Instead we played at Archbishop’s home court. This game had no excuse to be rescheduled. When I tell u the reffing was bad it was bad. It was a double dribble and everyone said it and the ref said I was blocked and I couldn’t see it. HIS JOB is to see so he can referee. It doesn’t make sense to me; our league favorites teams that are a “higher seed”. The end of these kids’ middle school playoffs are at stake because a woman or man doesn’t know how to do there job. I’m not saying that Archies did not play well but if we actually got calls we would’ve won that game. This league already robbed us and then the referees did the exact same. If this action stays the exact same then, these kids will be those parents telling those kids that they could’ve one a championship with a full team if they actually didn’t get robbed. We need change and we need it now.
The reason why we need change now is because if we don’t help people understand how the SSPSL is taking advantage over a team that has done nothing but win, then this will continue to repeat. We need change, we pray for a humble and fair game every game but we don’t get a fair game? Once anyone gives me a reason why this game was rescheduled or why we had a game that was supposedly “tied” then I will finally stop. But until then, I will not stop until we reach out destination, another chance and CHANGE.
