Hi everyone. 
Late in May, a local Keith girl lost her life due to a collision with a truck driver and third party driver. She was 19. 

The truck driver was unharmed, and the third party driver was placed in hospital for care (He is 18).

It’s disgusting to many South Aussies, that the South Australian Government has been ignoring the dangrs of these roads for years now, but will continue to spend millions of dollars on small things South Australia wants. 

Hear me now. We don’t want safer roads. WE NEED THEM. Yesterday, that young Keith girl marked the 57th road death so far this year, whereas last year it was 30. 

She was driving home from Adelaide, like she has many times before. It is cruel to family, friends, and loved ones to fear for the life of others due to a single road that has not been maintained and has been neglected. 

As a South Australian 19 year old, I refuse to take another loss of our community without putting up a fight for safer roads. 

I am tired of seeing people lose loved ones, on roads that have been pushed to the side for other multi-million projects. South Australia needs to look after the safety of their citizens, and we must make a change to our country roads. It is simply not good enough that we are afraid for the lives of others while they are travelling. It’s time to make a change, before we lose more lives. 

It has now been 6 months since Poppy had passed, and everyday that goes on is another day she can't be here. 

I want this petition to drive the government to updating the Dukes Hwy, making it duplicated, adding truck lanes, and extending the take over lanes (Some are only 300 m!)
