This issue is deeply personal to me. I've seen how people unfairly blame bully breeds, whether it's an XL or a staff, for any act of aggression. They don't hold all dogs to the same standard, nor do they hold the owners responsible - only the dog. This is unjust as attacks often occur due to irresponsible ownership.

We are calling for a change in regulations that would grant rehoming exemptions and automatic licences to any XL Bully breed in shelters across the UK. The current system stigmatizes these breeds and overlooks their potential as loving pets when raised responsibly.

According to RSPCA statistics, Staffordshire Bull Terriers X’s and XL’s are among the top three most rescued breeds in UK shelters (RSPCA). These dogs deserve a fair chance at finding loving homes without being hindered by breed-specific legislation that does not take into account individual temperament or owner responsibility.

Let's put an end to this unfair treatment of bully breeds. Let's give them a fair chance at life by granting them rehoming exemptions and automatic licenses. It's time we held owners accountable for their pets' behavior rather than blaming it on the breed itself.
