PART 1 - VICTORY @ 521
We just reached 521 signatures today! Our goal was to hit 500!!
Firstly, ‘THANK YOU VERY MUCH’ to each and every one of you who have signed, shared, and contributed; we are extremely grateful. We started this petition on the 4th of September 2023 and in approximately 56 days we have reached our goal!
If you read our last update, you will agree that we have already achieved our PART 1 VICTORY! The amazing information board regarding our beloved school has been placed at Dataran Seremban as the upgrading works are in progress. Once again, a heartfelt thank you to MBS and all involved in making this a reality.
Our first petition which we started back in September of 2012, garnered 1231 signatures but as memory serves, we didn’t close that for about a year until there was a change related to the platform we used and the link became inaccessible. Fortunately, we managed to download the data and submit it to the relevant authorities.
This journey has had its fair share of hurdles but as we persevered, today marking 11 years since our initial request, we can celebrate the first phase of our victory. It is indeed significant to all Convent girls.
A special thanks to our CPPA President, Datin S.Leelavathy for her unwavering encouragement and support to see this through. Also, we extend our deep gratitude to former YB Mary Josephine Prittam Singh, a past pupil of CHIJ, Seremban, for her strong support. All the journalists who took the time to write about our Convent Story and create awareness, we truly appreciate you.
It is only by God’s grace that we have come this far to acknowledge and remember with sincere gratitude, our beloved Alma Mater and all who have poured their lives into giving us priceless education. The value of this goes far beyond the 90 years of our school building. Our Convent Legacy of Love continues in the heart of every Convent girl as we remain hopeful to celebrate Part 2 – Victory in the coming days.
There are a few more steps to complete this process.
