As a young person and as someone who is surrounded by young people, I know for a fact that when school gets stressful, the 2 days we have to "relax" do not suffice. As of writing this, the CDC says that suicide from things like anxiety or school related problems was the 3rd leading cause of death in the US in 2023. When we are told to take a break we are unable to due to the little amount of time we're given. Students who may be my age, older or younger can confirm that we are constantly surrounded by homework, projects and not to mention after school or out of school activities.  This problem does not only affect students, but also teachers. I've had teachers in the past who have broken down from exhaustion, had not enough time to work on lesson plans or even enough time to spend with friends and family. While some may disagree with me, I believe that the 48 hours we are given is absurd. If you want a future with your children in it, now is the time to act
