Grant Max Punishment To The Dog Shooter That Took Her Life.
The Issue
This petition is asking for your support, in order to encourage District Attorney Michael Ferrarese, to give the maximum punishment to Jeffrey Eves, who on May 30th at approximately 12:30pm shot his neighbors dog in broad daylight. Mr. Eaves on multiple occasions has threatened to kill the dog. Multiple neighbors have experienced similar threats, as well as many cats “vanishing” on the street. The neighborhood lives in fear for their animals, as this is a pattern of behavior at this point and he shows no remorse. It is believed he is a danger to society, and the pets and children around him. Not only did he he kill the dog, he could have injured someone or worse, when this incident occurred. We have reason to believe, he shot the dog from two lawns away as there is no blood trails, and family members saw the dog behave strangely, before she seized up, and dropped to the ground on their back deck. Not only is this a senseless, unthinkable and violent act, it’s incredibly dangerous behavior.
Kiki was a friendly dog who was loved by many, especially her family. She was cherished by her little girls, who played with her and slept with her everyday. They are feeling this loss immensely, and nothing will or can replace her.
We feel very strongly these violent and careless crimes deserve the maximum punishment allowed in our State. We also believe he should not be able to own guns anymore. The neighborhood in the quiet tight-knit community on East Main Street, in Earlville, New York deserve to not live in fear of their animals and children being hurt.
His prior arrest of assaulting an officer is another example of of how potentially dangerous he can be
It is our opinion based on these charges, and his behavior, that Jeffrey Eaves poses a serious danger to society. We urge you to consider the maximum punishment, and consider looking into an investigation as to where the dog was really shot from. An example should be made of this truly disturbing act.
