Grant homeless women and girls access to free feminine products.

Grant homeless women and girls access to free feminine products.
The Issue
Over the course of her lifetime, the average woman spends about $18,000 on feminine hygiene products. Many shelters lack the resources to provide more than a few items per menstrual cycle due to the high cost of pads and tampons.
The use of public restroom toilet paper or other wadded up paper products for makeshift pads exposes women to bacteria that can cause yeast infections and urinary tract infections.
It is not uncommon for homeless women to feel depressed and vulnerable over time due to an inability to feel clean and secure every month.
In the same way that food, water, and shelter are essential for human survival, feminine hygiene products are also essential. The right to a safe and healthy period should be guaranteed to every woman. This is especially true for those without resources and who may also be homeless.
Young women who are also in the state of homelessness or in impoverished neighborhoods should be given dignity bags.
of which each bag contains: Seven washable, reusable sanitary products. Cared for correctly, the pads will last a whole year. 7 pairs of underwear.4 bars of soap. 2 bottles of lotion, 4 deodorants.
