The moment you are silent on injustice is the moment that you are complicit in injustice. I believe Derek Chauvin did not have a fair trial. The trial took place under intense public pressure, with the National Democrats influencing proceedings by screaming at the just every morning there would be violence if the verdict was not what they desired. This, inevitably, tainted the neutrality and fairness essential to any judicial process.

George Floyd, despite his tragic death, had a criminal history which was a relevant component of the case. Derek Chauvin, on the other hand, was fulfilling his duties as per his training as a law enforcement officer. This fundamental fact seems to have been overshadowed by the broader socio-political climate at the time of the trial.

A fair trial requires an impartial jury, untainted by external pressures or threats. Given the circumstances surrounding his trial, I believe it is only just to grant him a Federal Pardon and allow for a state retrial in a location where the jury can be impartial. I propose Warroad City in Roseau County, Minnesota as a suitable venue, distanced from the intense media scrutiny and potential public unrest found in major urban centers.

Granting a Federal Pardon and authorizing a retrial within a neutral jurisdiction would not only address this perceived injustice but restore confidence in the judicial system's ability to function without undue influence from either public sentiment or political forces.
