Grant Eastern Europe Dedicated Fortnite Servers – Fair Ping for Romania & the Balkans

Grant Eastern Europe Dedicated Fortnite Servers – Fair Ping for Romania & the Balkans
The Issue
We are two passionate Fortnite players from Romania — and like thousands of gamers across Eastern Europe and the Balkans, we’re tired of losing fights not because of lack of skill, but because of unfair ping.
Every match we play comes with an automatic handicap: high latency. While players in Germany, France, and the UK enjoy 0–20ms ping thanks to nearby Fortnite servers, we are stuck with 50–100ms or more. The difference might seem small, but in a game like Fortnite, a few milliseconds decide whether you take a wall or lose it, hit a shot or miss, win a fight or get sent back to the lobby.
Let us paint the reality:
We play against players from Western Europe with perfect, low-latency connections. We press a button and wait — they press it and act instantly. We try 10 times to take a wall, and it doesn’t register — they do it in one try. How can this be considered fair competition?
🔍 The Facts:
Fortnite’s European servers are located in Frankfurt, Paris, London, and Helsinki.
There are currently no dedicated Fortnite servers in Eastern Europe.
Most Eastern European players connect to servers over 1,000+ km away.
Ping values for Balkan players often range from 60 to 120ms, compared to the 0–30ms for Western European players.
Epic Games uses Amazon AWS, which currently has no full server regions in Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, or neighboring countries.
🎮 Why it matters:
In competitive Fortnite, every millisecond counts. Players in Eastern Europe are consistently placed at a disadvantage. This reduces the quality of the experience, kills motivation to compete seriously, and makes top-tier play nearly impossible.
🌍 Why now?
Fortnite has a massive active player base in Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, Ukraine, and the surrounding regions. Eastern Europe is no longer a "minor" player base. We are here, we are skilled, and we want to compete on equal footing.
Epic Games and Amazon continue to expand infrastructure around the world. If enough players demand change, new server regions can be added — just like it happened in the Middle East and South America.
📣 We call on Epic Games:
Grant us a dedicated Fortnite server region in Eastern Europe — located in Romania, Hungary, or a nearby Balkan hub. Let us play with fair ping, just like the rest of Europe.
✊ Join the fight.
If you're from Eastern Europe — or believe in fair play — sign this petition and share it everywhere: Discord, TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube. Together, we can make our voices heard.
It’s time for Eastern Europe to be seen.
It’s time for Fortnite to be fair.
It’s time for Epic to act.
