He has received academic and community support, with recommendations for clemency by highly respected Professors from Villanova University, including Ronald Paul Hill, Ph.D., James Wetzel, Ph.D, and Joseph Betz, Ph.D. Also, a recommendation for clemency from West Chester University, Brian F. O'Neill, Ph.D. And Sr. Cecilia Cavanaugh, Ph.D, Dean of The School of Undergraduate Studies, Chestnut Hill College.
George Trudel has been a model prisoner since the first day of his incarceration over 30 years ago. Please support this petition, so George may be granted clemency and be released into the loving arms of his sister, Heather, who has suffered along with him for three decades, and his girlfriend, Elizabeth. The most devastating time for George and his sister, Heather, to endure, was having to deal with the death of their beloved Mother, Pat, who passed away recently on April 21, 2018. George always spoke of visiting his Mother immediately upon his release from prison. It was something that kept his hope alive for decades inside the prison walls where he lives. It is a tragedy George has lost his Mother and also his loving Gram ( Sophie Martin) who fought for his freedom until her death in 1998. He has lost so much waiting for justice to be served in his case.
George Trudel, if granted clemency, will succeed and make a positive difference in society. Please know in your heart, that if you sign this petition, you will participate in the release of a good, decent, loving, kind, and completely rehabilitated man. It is time for George Trudel to come home now.
