The Issue

In May of 2024 a service dog named Chubbs is set to walk at graduation from midway university with his owner/handler. The loyal canine has sat through numerous classes over the course of his handlers college career, which will be coming to a close December of 2023.

As seen before, there have been numerous service animals at colleges across the U.S. receiving honorary degrees for their hard work and dedication to their owners safety and success during their coursework over their college careers. Chubbs is no different than these dogs, having worked diligently through all classes, including time spent in barns for hands-on instruction in equine rehabilitation courses.

If Chubbs receives his diploma, it will be a nod to the hard work of service dogs, who are too often unsung heroes for many individuals. This dog has gained a fan base at the university who are itching to see him receive a degree at commencement in Equine Studies with a concentration in health and rehabilitation. By signing this, you will help bring him one step closer to receiving the much needed recognition he deserves. So please, put your signature down today and help this good boy get the honor of a lifetime!
