There are calls for Scarborough Borough Council to reconsider not awarding Lionness Beth Mead the Freedom of the Borough of Scarborough, which is the highest civic honour that can be given.

The council will cease to exist from the 1st of April this year, so councillors are keen for the award to be handed to Beth before it becomes a single, unitary authority.

We, as Greatest Hits Radio Yorkshire Coast, have made this petition because we think Beth should be honoured and hopefully everyone will get behind this as well.
