The Baltimore Bullets, were founded in 1944 and played at the Baltimore Civic Center, which is now known as CFG Bank Arena. In 1973, the Baltimore Bullets would move to Washington D.C. 

The team initially played under the name “Capital Bullets”, until being renamed the Washington Bullets in 1974. On May 15th, 1997, the Bullets were officially named the Washington Wizards. 

Baltimore has a rich sports history between the Baltimore Colts/Ravens, Baltimore Orioles, the Baltimore Blast, and the former Baltimore Bullets. When it comes to Baseball and Football, Baltimore fans are one of the most passionate fanbases in America. 

Recently, the Washington Wizards have been in a downfall, so Baltimore and Washington fans, barely attend their games, unless it’s a prime time matchup against the Lakers and LeBron or the Celtics and Tatum. 

I hope to get enough signatures, to make this petition big enough to make a new Baltimore team that would play in the CFG Bank Arena. When schedules are released and the new Baltimore team is away, that’s when CFG could hold concerts. I believe this would bring more revenue to the city of Baltimore and help Baltimores violence rate go down, as theirs another sport for kids to watch.
