It’s Christmas Eve exactly a month to what should have been Ella’s 15th birthday but there will be no Christmas cheer in our house. The Attorney General has put paid to that, on Friday we would have been waiting 6 months for his decision the longest ever . Professor Stephen Holgate whose report into Ella medical condition has been submitted to the Attorney General stated “Ella’s death was preventable”. She suffered greatly and there remains many unanswered questions. We need to fully understand the impact of air pollution on Ella’s health especially her lungs in order to prevent future premature deaths. Ella’s case has been with the Attorney General for over 25 weeks waiting for a decision.176,000 members of the public have signed the petition.
