We as people trying to save these dogs and cats from being euthanized at all, need time to work. We are everyday long hours at that, trying to line up rescues and raise pledges for rescues. Trying to find fosters, adopters is difficult. But healthy adoptable dogs and cats are being put on the kill list often immediately. We would love to see a solution that ended euthanization all together. We would love to see the SARA act put into legislation. Until this happens we need one month to save these dogs and cats prior to being put on the dreaded kill list. We spend hours each day as volunteers, and save hundreds of dogs and cats a year. While NYCACC KILLED OVER 14000 dogs last year, and this list is incomplete. We work tirelessly, and our work is disrespected as these animals lives are as well, by the short window we are given! Striving to end kills all together. But for now we demand 1 month to save these animals!!
