I am a animal lover and over the course of 11 months I have had 2 male cats both fatally injured on 2 roads within the vicinity of my home.  

Both drivers of these cars never stopped. 

Both cats died alone and without any care, help or medical attention..

Both cats was loved neutered chipped Both cats wasn't wonderers until the moments they was killed. With one of those being right outside my house. 

Both cats have left shocking upsetting amounts of grief for my children.  

It is now law to microchip cats but cats should be given the same respect and treatment in the road traffic act as what dogs are.  Some families never find their beloved cats again.  

Drivers just don't all have the kindness and compassion they should do.  Reporting this death of someone's beloved pet could save repeated heart ache of the family still searching and it means the poor animal is found faster.  Treatment could be given if acted fast and lives could be saved not left casted aside like they are nothing.

I appreciate some accidents are avoidable but every human being can safely notify of this to vets, local residents, even social media pages and help, it just may save their life also.  

Cats are a big part of a community many houses have one, your neighbours could your relatives.. cats lives matter just like dogs...

Please change the law and recognise CATS and their families matter just as much.
