Stop the Illegal Expansion of the Treelake Village Storage Facility
This petition had 82 supporters
We, the members of the Treelake Village neighborhood and other concerned residents of Granite Bay, petition Placer County to suspend activity, construction and any expansion of the Treelake Storage Facility at 9970 Hadleigh Drive, Granite Bay until such time that a public meeting is held for comment with community input, required further environmental review is conducted, and appropriate and adequate permitting is completed. We, as residents and involved individuals, are concerned that the expansion of this project will have potential environmental impacts to tributaries of Linda Creek, unaccounted for traffic through the Treelake Village subdivision, and unmitigated impacts to air quality, noise and aesthetics, which potentially impact property value and quality of life for residents on the travel route and immediately adjacent to the proposed expansion. Our additional concerns include, but are not limited to, to environmental impacts to vernal pools, wetlands and riparian habitats that are currently on the property and due to be destroyed. California Fish and Wildlife has issued a Notice of Violation regarding unannounced excessive grading and irreparable damage to unnamed tributaries of Linda Creek. Until such time that the violation is cleared, and further environmental review and compliance is completed, we request that all construction stops immediately.
Once destroyed and paved, this area is forever and irreversibly changed. Please sign now to ensure that required open spaces are preserved and that only "allowed" projects proceed.
