In many cases, grandparents are the primary caregivers for their grandchildren, filling the void left by absent or struggling parents. Despite the important role grandparents play in the lives of their grandchildren, many grandparents are denied access to their grandchildren due to a lack of legal rights.
This is a critical issue that must be addressed, as grandparents’ rights ensure that children have access to the love and guidance of their grandparents, and that grandparents are able to maintain a meaningful relationship with their grandchildren.
