The wait is over. Two distinct options for updating Fire Station No. 7 will be revealed during a City Council Meeting on August 6. One destroys the landmark building. The other saves it, adding new sections. For council members, the choice couldn’t be starker. This vote will demonstrate whether or not Roanoke City values nationally recognized historic structures. Remember, Fire Station No. 7 was listed on Preservation Virginia's “most endangered” list and is named on the National Register of Historic Places.
