Every year, Preservation Virginia spotlights historic places that are deeply endangered. Roanoke’s Fire Station No. 7 made this year's list. In fact, all eleven of 2018’s Most Endangered Historic Places were announced for the first time yesterday right beside the historic station. Representative’s from the Richmond-based group traveled to Roanoke because our battle has become one of the most important in the commonwealth! Now these leaders and statewide media are watching as we count down to July. That’s when SFCS Architects, the firm developing the new station, will deliver a cost estimate for incorporating our beloved building into the design. Between now and then, it’s critical that people in Roanoke continue showing their support with yard signs and window stickers. No matter where you live, you can also send an email to city council, letting members know that historic structures like this one are a big reason people live in, visit, and love this mountain town. For a template email: http://therevivalist.info/firestation7/ Thank you again for fighting to save Fire Station No. 7!
