I just got word that our petition was discussed at the Executive Committee of the Senate (the highest faculty level of Grand Valley's government) this week and it PASSED!!!  A barrier will be constructed on the bridge soon.  I'll keep you all updated as I learn more.  Thank you so much to everyone who signed and spread this petition around; it would have never gotten off the ground without the work of community members like you.
