SIGN NOW to tell the Grand Rapids Retirement System to divest $1 million from Israeli AI!

Through FOIA requests, Palestine Solidarity Grand Rapids learned that the Grand Rapids Retirement System holds a $1 million investment with NiCE, an Israeli AI firm with offices across the globe. We call on the Grand Rapids Retirement System to follow their colleagues on the state investment board who chose to drop a $10 million Israeli bond and end their investment with NiCE. 

NiCE makes AI powered software for businesses and governments. They have offices across the globe with headquarters in Hoboken, NJ and a suburb of Tel-Aviv. NiCE’s stock price has decreased from around $150 to $95 in the past year and from $275 to $95 in the past 5 years. Economically, the investment is a failure. The retirement system has lost money on NiCE and it’d be within the board’s best interest if the money was invested elsewhere. 

Divesting from NiCE is the right thing to do. Just as the city of Grand Rapids ended ALL their business withapartheid South Africa, the Grand Rapids Retirement System should end ALL their investments with Israel. Investing in a country that is committing a genocide is the wrong thing to do. 

Join us to deliver this petition to the Grand Rapids Investment System at their next board meeting on Wednesday, August 19th at 9am, inside the Grand Rapids Masonic Temple. We believe the board will do the right thing but it is on us to show up and present our demands!
