Designate Chipman's 3season official ATV/snowmobile trails as 4-season groomed trails.

As many in the Chipman and Grand Lake areas know, the area is prime for snowmobiling in the winter months and also well-enjoyed by those on ATVs and UTVs in the summer months.
With many opportunities for tourism in the area and no places for ATV/UTV riders to enjoy their machines in the winter months, we feel that it is time that the official 3season trails in the area become designated as 4-season use.
This request is important not only for use in winter months but also as a safety measure in the summer months after washouts and trails getting torn up by local woodlot owners and 4x4 truck owners. I have personally nearly had 2 major accidents in the summer trails, due to no summer maintenance, and others have expressed the same concern. To a point that some refuse to use the main 3season trail.
Having a designated 4-season trail would be very beneficial not only from the already mentioned safety standpoint but also will allow many riding parties to come through our area (and spend money here). Many people do not come through this way, knowing the trails are not summer groomed and not connected to the rest of the New Brunswick trail system without having to take highway travel to make the connections or are forced to go through deep bogs to make the connections.
With a request put in with the Chipman village council for an ATV road-access bylaw, this is the right time to improve our local trail(s) and benefit from the safety, economic and leisure improvements.
Please sign this petition and help make our area a safer and more enjoyable place for responsible ATV riders to enjoy year round.
