Stop the Staff Cuts, Closures or reducing of hours at Southern and GTR Station Ticket Offices. Govia Thameslink are proposing to completely close the ticket offices at Purley, South Croydon, Coulsdon South, Caterham and Reigate, they are also proposing to reduce the opening hours of the ticket offices at Merstham, Horley and Crawley Stations to Weekday morning peak only. Govia Thameslink are proposing to replace ticket office and gateline staff with Ticket Machines, or mobile staff expected to sell tickets on platforms whilst operating gatelines. which will undoubtedly limit the quality and range of services available to passengers.
