Hello again,
Just another update however this one is quite important. In order to be as transparent as possible I have decided to take steps to transfer this petition and the continuing growth into Belly’s family’s hands with the support of TSSA (Transport Salaried Staff Association) so they can continue to fight for justice for Belly at this difficult time.
As I did not know Belly personally I feel this is the right decision for me to make at this point in order for her story to continue to be publicised as accurately as possible and justice to be done.
When I started this petition as I said I never imagined it could gain so much traction and as a result I feel it is best served that the control of the investigation into her death is handled delicately by those closest to her, who will be able to provide you all with the most up-to-date developments as the investigation progresses.
I just want to reiterate again that we are so thankful for every signature and share. The huge support has shown Belly’s family that so many of us recognise that the abhorrent events that occurred won’t be ignored and hopefully in due time, the perpetrator will be punished and justice will be served.
From now on it’s likely that you will see updates posted by members of Belly’s family via this page as I am stepping away from the petition in order to allow Belly’s family to tell you her story, however rest assured that they are exactly who Belly would have wanted to do so. Even though I will not be in control of the page any longer, I will still be actively supporting the cause, my wish for justice has not and will not cease to exist.
I hope my decision can be respected and understood. I trust wholeheartedly that Belly’s family will continue to fight for justice and that this petition and the subsequent actions as as result of it will be just as proactive in fighting for justice in her name as when it first started.
Once again, thank you so so much.
Harriet
