Everyday, we as a society, are looking at ways to improve our environment, help endangered animals and improve the quality of life for one another. A movement for animal welfare has begun! The era of the traditional circus is becoming a fading memory. We as a society are seeing the value in conserving our wild animals and their habitats versus locking them up and forcing them to perform, through cruel and unnatural tricks, under a fake veil of "conservation". Exotic animal acts have NO PLACE in today's society. There simply is NOTHING "educational" or "conservational" about them. Today's animal acts serve nothing more than a "meal ticket" for the showmen forcing these animals to endure tight and cramped cages cold and unsanitary transport containers and most importantly...DENIED important decompression, and room to run and stretch. This mindset needs to go!

As we approach "fair season" these cruel and unnatural animal acts begin to pop up in every corner of Pennsylvania. RIGHT NOW the Wayne County Fair, located in Honesdale Pennsylvania, is in full swing. Scheduled for Tuesday, 8/6/19, is Brunon Blaszak's Royal Tigers. This show enters the fairground after performing at the Cattaraugus County Fair July 31st - Aug 4th. These tigers will then continue to travel and tour state and county fairs including; Wyoming County Fair (PA), Bloomsburg Fair (PA), Southern Tier Outdoor Show (NY) plus many, many more.. In regards to Brunon Blaszak's "Fang and Claw" tour; he also refers to the act as "Rage in the Cage" not quite what one would expect from a person stating the act is "conservational and educational". Furthermore, Brunon Blaszak has been mentioned and boycotted against at the Boone County Fair in Columbia MO where he was allegedly attacked by one of his tigers. He has also been negatively mentioned, as a "con man" by Big Cat Rescue, 911 Animal Abuse, Facebook members and news outlets. The cruel stunts these tigers must endure includes; jumping through fire and walking a "tightrope" which is an unprotected steel cable. Now, I do not know about you....but, for me to walk a steel cable, barefoot, would cause immense pain. Imagine what these tigers are enduring as this steel cable pushes onto their sensitive pads and toes. But, hey! Anything to get your name mentioned in "Ripley's Believe It Or Not"..right? Blaszak makes the incredibly false claim that tigers "walk vines in the wild" which is just one example to his lack of knowledge about tigers. Tigers do NOT straddle vines hunting prey. Blaszak's tigers are also forced to jump through a hoop of fire. We ALL know that animals are naturally afraid of fire...so what is done to these tigers causing them to fearfully jump through a ring of fire? Love? I think not. No conservationist or educator would ever force an animal to do anything outside of its natural behavior. Brunon Blaszak, despite his denial, does indeed use whips and rods to "encourage" and discipline his tigers. Brunon Blaszak's Royal Tigers must end!

What happens to the tigers in between fairs? Well...they simply stay put. These tigers live in tiny transport cages while being forced to tour the country. Sometimes for weeks at a time. When a living creature is forced to live in unnatural, stressful situations... psychosis and neurotic behaviors set in. Afterall, let's face it...you cannot take tigers out and let them play like you would your dog. You cannot even walk them on a leash to stretch or exercise. Cage pacing, head pressing, obsessive grooming and lashing out in aggression is just a few of the anxieties and abnormal behaviors these animals demonstrate. Just recently another company, also exploiting tigers under false claims, was caught prodding and poking one of their tigers. July 26th 2019, at the Summit County Fair in Ohio, had Judit and Juergen Nerger, tiger owners, in a lot of trouble for filmed physical abuse to one of their white tigers. The act drew the attention of the local news and raised the serious question about the abuse of these "tiger acts". Blaszak is no stranger to YouTube or Facebook either. Videos posted from fairgoers paint a totally different picture than what Brunon Blaszak portrays. This is one act we do not need "educating" us or our children.

Let the circus fade into the history books. Unlike the elephants of Ringling Brothers and Barnum Bailey...who have a new lease on life...the tigers of the failed circus still perform or have been sold to other circus acts. These are the forgotten faces. The overlooked faces. The problem...tigers are easier to conceal and transport than the pachyderms. Lies and deception abound under the veil of "conservation" nauseating true conservationists, educators and animals lovers. Flying under the radar in Pennsylvania is Shriner's Circus. Again, another fake act...one using animals to "raise funds" for children. Truth be told Shriner's Circus is a separate entity from the Children's Hospital. The tickets they sell to "see the circus" barely pays for the feed and care for the tigers, elephants, camels and other animals...not to mention employees. From an agitated camel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania tossing children from its back and dragging a woman to an elephant with a cracked and painful toe limping as it carried children at the Kingston Armory in Kingston, Pennsylvania... the abuse goes on and on. Ignored? Maybe. Circus animals have little to no protection within state animal laws.

How can we change this? Governor Wolf you have demonstrated and proven yourself to be an animal lover when you instituted "Libre's Law" and revised current large animal laws. We now humbly ask you to PLEASE BAN these cruel exotic animal acts. There is no place for them in today's society. They are NOT fun to watch. They are NOT educational. They are cruel! PLEASE move Pennsylvania out of the "circus animal stone age". Make the circus and tiger acts....history! If we continue this path we are only showing our future that mistreating animals, like these tigers and elephants, is "ok". Voices must be heard!

Thank you!
