Small business owners need income as well.

Small business owners need income as well.
The Issue
Covid-19 has forced the government to shut down all "non-essential " businesses. In doing that, it has put a strain and hardship on small business owners. With uncertainty of how long we will have to be closed, it has put great stress on how we will continue to provide for our families and also how we will continue to maintain business expenses and to be able to keep the business open. We are not offered the opportunity to file for unemployment. Although the Small Business Association does offer loans for small businesses the loans come with interest and/or collateral property which will further put us in a negative hardship. I am asking and petitioning for Governor Wolf or Senator Boscola to make an exception by letting us apply for unemployment or possibly providing an emergency grant. This would be beneficial to help with small business owners to maintain basic expenses due to the circumstances of Covid-19 and the emergency shutdown.
