You can help persuade Governor Scott Walker to do the right thing by preserving current Wisconsin law that provides schools with a pathway to change race-based "Indian" mascot, logo and team name symbols. 

Keep Wisconsin at the forefront in the nation on this civil rights issue – don’t let AB297 put our state in the back of the bus.  Ask Governor Walker to stand up for Indian civil rights and VETO AB297.

We are all part of the web of life.  What affects one of us affects us all.

It is time for our schools to stop the practice of stereotyping American Indian people.  When we condone this practice, we are teaching our children how to do hands-on racism.  Our schools should be places that are safe for all children to learn in, not places that teach them how to harm one another.  Indian mascots, logos and team names are a form of racial bullying that our society no longer chooses to ignore and condone.

Please sign my petition and help Governor Walker understand that "Indian" race-based stereotyping in Wisconsin schools harms all of us.

We want this hatful practice to STOP. We want all races, all cultures, all children to be treated with respect and dignity.
