We were notified as of Friday, March 27th that due to the new order put into place by not only Governor Polis; but DORA, that the following is to be put into effect immediately.

"There is a threat to the patient’s life if the procedure is not performed;
There is a threat of permanent dysfunction of an extremity or organ system if the procedure is not performed;
There is a risk of metastasis or progression of staging of a disease or condition if the surgery is not performed; or
There is a risk that the patient's condition will rapidly deteriorate if the procedure is not performed and there is a threat to life, or to an extremity or organ system, or of permanent dysfunction or disability."

1. Patient's seek Chiropractic Care to avoid procedures such as surgeries which can cause a higher threat to their lives. 

2. Chiropractic Care has personally increased the function of my organs, after a life-altering change in my medical history in 2019 I have been able to utilize Chiropractic Care to avoid other medical procedures. By increasing the optimal function of my body overall I can say that I am healthier than I have ever been and not having Chiropractic Care over the next month is truly dampening my emotional and mental health. It is essential for my health to be getting adjusted to stay healthy and out of Urgent Cares and Hospitals. 

3. The risk of a patient's condition deteriorating that can cause life threatening or organ system failure is exactly what Chiropractic Care is combating. As Chiropractors, removing misalignment's has been proved to increase nervous system function and optimal communication between the brain and organs within the human body. By a person's body functioning at this optimal level we are slowing down the rate of any deterioration from occurring within a patient's body. 

I strongly believe that in the hopes of decreasing the spread of COVID-19 it is not only essential, it is critical that we remain open to serve and adjust patients in Parker, Colorado. Many of our patients have been impacted in life altering ways: Patients whom, on their initial visit, were unable to even walk into the practice on their own, patients who were struggling day to day with mental and emotional health issues, as well as first responders, parents and even CEO's unable to perform and get through day to day tasks without debilitating pains. Now that our doors have been closed, these patients as well as multiple potential patients are having to turn to prescriptive drugs and they are suffering every day. We are unable to help the masses with this order in place. Not to mention adding weight to an already taxed medical system. I believe that it needs to be reversed. In our offices we are not utilizing any PPE or ventilators,  we are not being irresponsible with our patient's health. In fact, the exact opposite has been implemented into our clinics around the State of Colorado. We are sanitizing and wiping down common areas, we are abiding by the 6-feet-apart rule and we also have means for patients to virtually check in for appointments. We have followed and will continue to follow the rules and regulations put out by our local government. However, we are asking you to reconsider the amount of lives that are being negatively impacted by not being allowed to seek pain relief from their Chiropractors. Chiropractic as a profession was founded on the simple fact of being able to help people and now due to this order in place we are not able to help anyone at all. Please reconsider this ruling and give Chiropractors a chance to help and do their part during this time.
