On January 15, 2019 my son James Sebastian Price Jr was shot in the back of his head inside his home by his girlfriends father Michael Madison. My son and his girlfriend got into an argument and she called her mother to come pick her up because she wanted to leave or move out. When her mother arrived to my sons residence, she entered into his home without knocking and her very own daughter met her at the door and spoke with her. Her daughter (Courtney Madison) told her mother step outside and let me finish getting my things. As the mother was exiting the home, Courtney then sees her father Michael Madison pull into the yard and jump out of the vehicle with a gun in his hand. She pushed her mother out the door and locked it so her father couldn’t get inside the home... She yelled through the door to her mother and said Get him(her dad) because he is doing too much. It’s not that serious I’m getting my things. As Courtney turned and walked away from the door Michael began kicking the door open aggressively with GUN in hand. While all of this is going on my son is still in the back room furthest away from all the commotion. My young cousin Caleb Toby saw all of this from outside and went up behind Michael and wrestled a shot gun from his hands and yells to my son who is still not present in the front of his house where all those TRESPASSERS were standing in his living room. Caleb yells “get your strap, he brought a gun in here!” Then and only then does my son appear with a gun to DEFEND his home per the castle doctrine. Michael Madison pulled another gun from his person. He claimed my son shot at him first and he returned fire striking my 23yo child in the back of his head. Under the advice of the Vidalia Police,  Michael made a statement that his daughters life was in danger so he went in to save her.  But here is the kicker. I have several video and Audio recorded statements from his daughter saying that her father is lying and she did not need saving. She said she was at the door speaking to her mother when her father pulled up and her life was in no imminent danger at all. She stated her father lied to the police. All of this is recorded on video of her stating the truth. After my sons case was no billed by a grand jury, I requested a copy of the files from the GBI and in those files I saw where the police on the scene gave conflicting statements contrary to what they wrote in their initial police report. Also it has been brought to my attention that Michael Madison has been arrested several times for aggravated assault, his wife has lived in battered women shelters, he has been arrested and accused of child molestation, also he has been locked of for cocaine as well. And my son has never been arrested for anything of the sort. Somehow the law in our community deemed Michael Madison a hero and allowed him to walk free after KILLING my son in his home by shooting him in the back of the head after violently kicking in his door with guns in hand. The Vidalia Police department, the district attorneys office, and the GBI all have Failed my son by not giving him the Justice he deserves. Michael had plenty of time to call 911 before he arrived but he did not because he was a first class Vigilante who has been given a pass. Before the GBI arrived Courtney was allowed in the house to remove things. The crime scene integrity was not maintained. There are letters that were written between her and my son that she took with her which could have explained things that led up to that day, we don’t know if shell casings were stuck on the bottom of her shoe or not.  Or what other items she unknowingly took that could have been pertinent information pertaining to this case.  I would like for an internal investigation to take place to find out what personal relationship does Michael Madison have with Officer Jermond. Also my sister was a grand jury witness and she told ADA Fitzner that one of the jurors on the jury should recuse herself because of her family’s relationship to Michael Madison family. She should not have been deciding anything on this case.  I believe my sons case should be represented to another grand jury because of how they mishandled it the first time. The same people should not have anything to do with it. They flopped it once already. So I have no reason to believe they would do anything different this time. What I want is justice for my sons murder. If a police officer have to have a warrant to kick in someone’s door, how can a regular civilian get away with doing it without a badge or a warrant? I believe the ADA Fitzner presented this case to a grand jury only to quiet my family and myself down. I believe he had no intentions on trying to secure an indictment because he was in the middle of a campaign running for DA. He did not need all of us as witnesses during that grand jury. All he need was the MURDERERs own daughter on Video saying her father is lying about why he kicked that door in. That was enough to prove Michael went in there with other intentions because it sure was not to save his daughter. She said when her dad pulled up (THERE WAS NO FIGHTING, NO ARGUING, NO FUSSING) how could she be fighting my son when he is in the very back of the house and she is at the door with her mother and see him pull up with a gun.  Michael had a gun in his hand before he got out of the car at my sons house because he had already deemed himself judge jury and executioner. And our police department and DAs office let him get away with it. Please send some outside sources that has nothing to do with this case to look into everything I am saying and you will be shocked that I am telling the truth. I have several copies of all documented EVIDENCE in the GBI investigative report of my SONS murder. It is sad and distasteful for justice to be swept away for a homicide that did not have to take place. I know you may think these are some wild allegations, but there is proof backing up everything. My family and I are asking the Governor to use available resources to stop this corruption in our county because this situations is sending a message that Vigilante Murder is okay in our community. And it’s not. Please please send someone to look into this. I will have all proof available.
