Louisiana Governor John Bell Edwards and many local Mayors including Mayor Perkins in Shreveport have caused harm and continue to cause harm to our businesses, our economy, and the health of our citizens with extended lock downs of citizens, shutting down of businesses and the mandated wearing of masks.

Please add your name to this petition if you believe Louisiana officials have gone too far in response to the covid virus.  Make your voice known to the governor, our representatives and our mayors. 

For every study claiming the benefit of lock downs and masks, there are as many saying otherwise. The truth is we do not know any of these draconian measures change the number of deaths COVID will ultimately take.

We do know the devastating effects on our overall economy. We are beginning to see the impact on mental health and suicides, domestic abuse, murder rates, and businesses that will never re-open.

I want our elected officials to know concerned citizens will not allow shutting down our businesses again.

We will not be forced to comply with the farce that masks worn in all public spaces, worn incorrectly, and worn by children will affect the spread of COVID -19. 

We will not go along with this lie so public officials can act like they have some control over a virus and show they have control over our ability to earn a living and make our own heath decisions. 

We acknowledge that COVID-19 is deadly and we must protect our vulnerable citizens. We support anyone who wishes to wear a mask. We understand business owners can set their own rules that make sense for their situations. 

We do not support elected officials sending out mandates - not laws duly passed by congress- that penalize business owners and make criminals of law abiding citizens.
