The United States of America has such a diverse history. We should look to our history and learn from it. In this petition we’re trying to prevent the removal of a historic figure from capital grounds in Charleston West Virginia. Let me make this clear that we do not embrace slavery or any other form of human abuse. This is about preserving our nations History so that all those around will be able to see where we have been. Stonewall Jackson himself is known to have been a great man. We are blessed to be able to look back on such men and hope we can be even better. The rush for the removal of Civil War monuments across the country is baffling and rather ignorant. History forgotten is history repeated. Let’s keep history alive so this will not happen. When(if) all the monuments are torn down, the liberal progressive professors at our universities will then proceed to slowly rewrite history turning every souther civil war fighter into pure evil.
